Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly one of the sides at the front of the queue to sign Jack Wilshere.

The Daily Mirror reported back in April that Nuno Espirito Santo’s men were keen on the classy midfielder following their promotion out of the Championship, and The Sun is now suggesting that they find themselves leading the charge along with Crystal Palace.

Despite Wilshere confirming that he is exit-bound at the Emirates, it is seemingly not going to be easy for Wolves to bring the Englishman to Molineux however, with The Sun reporting that Juventus and West Ham are also interested.
However, The Sun’s suggestion that Wolves are currently in pole position is certainly an encouraging sign for the newly-promoted side, who will kick off their Premier League return with a home game against Everton in August.

The London Evening Standard recently reported that Wilshere earned £90,000-a-week at Arsenal, so Wolves offering him the kind of terms that would tempt him into a move would be a major statement of intent from Fosun, especially when you also consider the other sides reportedly in the running for his signature.
Wilshere may be a risky signing for any club due to his past injury record, but with the deal set to be a free transfer, Wolves will know that getting the 26-year-old through the door would be a fantastic way for the club to continue building on the momentum that they have got right now.
