Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno is keen to snap up Sunderland forward Josh Maja this month.
Wolves are said to have joined the race for 14 goal striker, who has led the line brilliantly for Sunderland this season.
Nuno’s side are known to want a new number nine, and Maja has now emerged on their radar, with the youngster consistently putting in solid performance at the Stadium of Light.
While Maja may not be able to play Premier League football regularly yet, he could be one of the biggest bargains of the January window, as his contract at Sunderland is expiring.
The Black Cats have been unable to agree a fee with Maja, which means that they could be forced to offload him.
While Sunderland owner Stewart Donald has said that Maja wants to sign a new contract on Wearside, that has still not been agreed, and Wolves are now among the clubs wanting to swoop for the finisher.
If Maja was to move to Molineux, he would be in competition with Raul Jimenez for a place in Nuno’s line-up.
