With Stoke getting relegated to the Championship at the end of last season, speculation on the future of Shaqiri has intensified over the past few weeks.

Shaqiri is playing well for Switzerland at the ongoing World Cup in Russia, and one suspects that the Stoke star will have a lot of offers after the competition.
Although Wolves are a big and ambitious club, the winger may not be tempted to join Nuno’s side given (reported) interest from elsewhere, especially from Liverpool and Tottenham, who can offer him Champions League football.
