According to CalcioMercato, Lille midfielder and former Bayern Munich sensation Renato Sanches is attracting interest from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wolves returned to the Premier League two years ago and have been fantastic since. They qualified for the Europa League in their debut campaign and managed to achieve the same feat last season.
Nuno Espirito Santo has a number of top quality players at his disposal. Raul Jimenez is among the best strikers in the league, while midfield duo Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves have complimented each other brilliantly.
However, Moutinho is 34 and Wolves need to find his successor. His compatriot Renato Sanches could well prove to be the chosen one, and the 2016 Golden Boy winner is a very interesting option.
Sanches was one of the most sought out young players in the world back in 2016. German giants Bayern Munich beat a whole host of sides to his signature four years ago, but he couldn’t quite hack it there.
The Portuguese international was sent out on loan to Swansea in 2017, but his season in England didn’t work out either. Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti called Sanches a ‘fantastic player’ during his time at Bayern Munich, and he even tipped him to have an amazing career with the German champions (Mail).
However, he eventually left Bayern to join French side Lille in 2019, and he is performing really well in Ligue 1.

Sanches has scored five goals for his new club already – more than he did during his time at Munich. He is one of Lille’s most important players now, but could Wolves lure him away in January or next summer?
Sanches is represented by Jorge Mendes
Still only 23, Sanches is a very good option for interested clubs. The Portuguese midfielder has all the qualities to become a top player, and where better to develop than at Wolves where he would have many of his compatriots next to him.
He would be a very good addition for Wolves, and the fact that Jorge Mendes is his agent makes things a whole lot easier for Santo and Co.
