According to Eurosport, Wolves are interested in signing Montpellier striker Gaëtan Laborde as they continue to search for Raúl Jiménez’s deputy.

The Mexico international is still missing having suffered a fractured skull against Arsenal earlier this season.

In the meantime, Wolves have recalled Patrick Cutrone, but they also have their eye on Laborde if Eurosport are to be trusted.

The 26-year-old has been enjoying a fine season over in Ligue 1, scoring six goals while also registering five assists in 18 appearances.

However, Eurosport claim that Laborde does not want to rush a departure from Montpellier.

It is also claimed that no offer for the Frenchman has yet been submitted by Wolves.

Laborde has been doing so well domestically this season that he’s even outdoing the most expensive player in the history of football – Neymar.

The Paris Saint-Germain superstar – who cost £200 million – has only netted three goals in Ligue 1 this season.

Impressively, the Wolves target has double that amount.

Eurosport add that, if Laborde is to leave, Wolves must submit an offer that satisfies the striker as well as Montpellier.

He sounds in no rush whatsoever to leave France, so Nuno might have a job on his hands to land this transfer target.
