Wolves have been linked with Juventus striker Andrea Favilli.

According to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, Wolverhampton Wanderers’ interest in Juventus striker Andrea Favilli is under threat from Serie A side Udinese.
Wolves clinched promotion to the Premier League as Championship winners, and whilst many expected a mass spending spree, Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have been a little more calculated.
Goalkeeper Rui Patricio has arrived – sparking outrage from Sporting – as has striker Raul Jimenez, but more may still be expected in attack even after signing Leo Bonatini permanently, having offloaded Benik Afobe to Stoke City.
Recent reports from Sky Sports claimed that Wolves have held talks over a £17.6million move for Juventus forward Andrea Favilli, in what would be something of a gamble at this tage.
Now, Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Wolves do want Favilli, but their interest is under threat as Udinese are now keen to sign the 6ft 3in target man this summer.
An Italian Under-21 international, Favilli hit 13 goals in 42 games for Ascoli before signing a deal with Juve this summer, but the Turin giants may already be prepared to cash in.

The 21-year-old is unlikely to have a major first-team role given that Massimiliano Allegri has Gonzalo Higuain and Mario Mandzukic at his disposal, and Juve could double their money on Favilli quickly.
Whether Wolves return with a firm bid remains to be seen, but with little experience outside of Serie B, splashing the cash on the burly striker would be a real gamble in what has been a calculated window so far.
