Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly seeking a deal for Southampton’s Mario Lemina.

According to the Daily Mail, Wolverhampton Wanderers have opened talks with Southampton about a deal to sign Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina.
Wolves have been a little quieter than expected in the transfer market this summer, but have now tied up exciting deals for Jesus Vallejo and Patrick Cutrone.
Nuno Espirito Santo may well look for more reinforcements before the transfer deadline on Thursday, and another midfielder appears to be on the radar.
It’s now believed that Wolves have opened talks with Southampton about a deal for midfielder Lemina, which would be a loan with a view to a permanent move.
Everton have also spoken to Southampton too though, meaning there’s a battle on for the Gabon international, with the Saints hoping to eventually recoup their £15.4million.
Lemina, 25, joined Southampton from Juventus in 2017, but made just 18 starts last season, and hasn’t really been one of Ralph Hasenhuttl’s preferred midfield options.

The Mirror report that Lemina has now told Hasenhuttl that he wants to leave, and Wolves are looking to take full advantage.
Adding some proven competition for Leander Dendoncker, Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho in midfield is a smart idea, and Lemina – a more athletic, box-to-box player with the ability to carry the ball – would be the ideal complement.
