The Benfica star looked set for a Molineux switch.
Luisao
Since their takeover this summer Wolverhampton Wanderers have found themselves linked with some big names.
One name was Brazilian talent Anderson Talisca. However, that deal never came about, with the attacking midfielder eventually joining Besiktas instead.

But a deal for Benfica legend Luisao looked much more straight-forward.
Apparently not. According to reports in Portugal today that deal is now officially off.
Luisao
Desporto is reporting Record as stating that Luisao’s move to Wolves has fallen apart over the defender’s wage demands.
He reportedly wanted a two-year contract at Wolves, working out at €2 million-a year, £1.7 million in British sterling.
Wolves were not prepared to offer such a deal and the deal is therefore off.
It was recently reported by The Sun that Luisao was in England to complete a move to the Molineux – after 13 years at Benfica.
Luisao
Luisao has been at Benfica since 2003 and has earned a reputation as one of Europe’s best central defenders during that time.
He also has 44-caps spanning a ten-year career with the Brazilian national team but unfortunately, he will not be bringing that prestige to the Championship.
