Cameron John reportedly wants to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan during the January transfer window.
It appears that Cameron John may not get his wish amid a report from The Sun on Sunday (25/11; page 60) which has suggested that he is keen to leave Wolves on loan during the January transfer window.
John is considered one of the brightest prospects at Molineux, but is still awaiting his first-team debut. Unsurprisingly, he appears to be considering his options.
The Daily Mail reported earlier this month that Wolves were considering allowing the 19-year-old to leave on loan when the window reopens. And The Sun on Sunday suggests that he is keen to leave the club temporarily in January.
The report suggests that John – who has started all 10 of their games this term – may be kept at the club to improve their chances of claiming the trophy this year. Wolves are currently four points back of the summit and boast a game in hand.
It would be a slightly surprising move if Wolves decided to keep John around simply because of their under-23 side.
You would imagine that Nuno Espirito Santo and his team have decided that potentially keeping him around could be more beneficial for his development, and the under-23s keeping a key man is very much an additional positive to emerge from the decision.
