Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly already lodged a bid for the Manchester City youngster.

According to a report from the Express & Star, Wolves might just have to wait right until the end of the transfer window in their pursuit of Manchester City starlet Oleksandr Zinchenko.

The Black Country outfit have lodged a £16 million bid for the Ukrainian international, according to the Express & Star, but they are still awaiting a response from the Premier League champions.

The 21-year-old can play anywhere across midfield, as well as further forward in the number 10 role. He was also used as an auxiliary left-back by Pep Guardiola last season, so he has plenty of strings to his bow.

The Express & Star claims that Wolves might just be made to wait for their man, however.

Zinchenko is currently away on tour with City in the United States, and the Manchester club are prepared to wait it out right up until the end of the transfer window before deciding whether or not to sell the Ukraine international.

The 21-year-old would be an excellent signing for Wolves, if they do in fact manage to get a deal over the line.

If Zinchenko does end up at Molineux for the reported fee of £16 million, he would be the club’s record signing, eclipsing the £15.8 million that Wolves paid for Ruben Neves last summer.
