Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly close to signing Joao Moutinho.

According to the Express and Star, Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to sign Monaco midfielder Joao Moutinho for just £5million in a bargain deal.
Wolves haven’t gone mad in the transfer market like some expected upon their return to the Premier League, but have signed Rui Patricio, Paulo Alves and Raul Jimenez, as well as tied up permanent deals for Willy Boly, Ruben Vinagre and Leo Bonatini.
Nuno’s side still looks strong heading into the new season, but finding another possible partner for Ruben Neves in the middle of the park looks to be a priority, even with Romain Saiss already on board.
Now, the Express and Star report that Wolves are set to tie up the signing of Monaco ace Joao Moutinho, with a deal worth just £5million seemingly poised for completion.
It’s stated that agent Jorge Mendes, who has worked closely with Wolves over the last two years, has brokered the deal, and it looks to be a masterstroke for Wolves.
Moutinho, 31, was long considered as one of the most talented midfielders in Europe during spells with Sporting and Porto, before heading to Monaco in 2013.

A cultured passer of the ball whose experience should be vital alongside Neves, Moutinho has racked up more than 600 club appearances, including more than 100 in either the Champions League or Europa League.
A Euro 2016 winner with Portugal and a part of their World Cup squad this summer, Moutinho hit one goal and seven assists for Monaco this past season, and now looks set to call Molineux home.
