According to Le Buteur, Wolves have made a ‘serious’ offer for Montpellier striker Andy Delort, while Newcastle have also made him a ‘necessity’.
The French news outlet state that Nuno Espirito Santo has identified the 10-cap Algeria international as cover for Raul Jimenez.
Le Buteur say Wolves want the 29-year-old at all costs.
In Newcastle’s case, it is said that Steve Bruce is far from happy with his current options up front, and wants Delort to improve his attack.
As aforesaid, the Magpies see his arrival as a ‘necessity’.
So, what type of player is Delort?
Well, for one thing, the Sète-born marksman is absolutely rapid.

Ligue 1’s official website ran a story in March which revealed that Delort was clocked as the fastest player in France’s top-flight.
He was clocked at 36.8 km/h in one of his sprints.
That would’ve meant that Delort was quicker than Kylian Mbappe and Neymar at one stage last term, which is mightily impressive.
In terms of his output, Delort has also been very efficient in front of goal this season.

The France-born Algerian has scored eight goals in 17 Ligue 1 outings this season, while also registering six assists.
To have 14 goal involvements in just 17 games is very impressive form.
By all accounts, whoever lands Delort would appear to be getting a dangerous forward, who knows how to both score goals and also create them.
