Southampton’s Sam Gallagher is reportedly wanted by Wolverhampton Wanderers and Birmingham City.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing Sam Gallagher from Southampton in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 65, July 9, 2017).

It has been reported that Championship side Wolves want to sign striker Gallagher on loan from Premier League club Southampton this summer.

Birmingham City, now managed by Harry Redknapp, are also claimed to be interested in the 21-year-old striker.

According to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 65, July 9, 2017), Southampton manager Mauricio Pellegrino will assess the youngster in pre-season and then decide his immediate future.

The England Under-20 international recently signed a new four-year contract with the Saints, as announced on the club’s official website.

The youngster spent the 2016-17 campaign on loan at Blackburn Rovers, scoring 11 goals and providing one assist in 35 Championship starts in the process.

Gallagher would be a good signing for Wolves or Birmingham, as he is hugely talented and has experience of playing in the Championship.
