Mendes will reportedly collect more than £6 million for deals involving Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City.
Wolverhampton Wanderers have agreed to pay £15.8 million for Rui Patricio, according to the Sun (July 5, page 51).
Wolves confirmed Patricio’s arrival last month, after the goalkeeper became one of several players to terminate their contracts with Sporting Clube de Portugal.
It was later reported, however, that Sporting could still be due payment for Patricio and co, and that now appears to be the case.
The Sun claims Jorge Mendes, the agent who has assisted several Wolves transfers throughout the past two years, will collect £6.1 million of the fee paid by the Molineux outfit – £2.6 million for the Patricio deal and a further £3.5 million still owed by Sporting following last summer’s sale of Adrien Silva to Leicester City.
Wolves were initially quoted £18 million for Patricio, according to the Daily Mirror.
Both the 30-year-old and Leicester’s Silva were part of Portugal’s squad for the 2018 World Cup.
