Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly close to signing Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko.

According to The Mirror, Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko is set to sign for Wolverhampton Wanderers on deadline day as he prepares to undergo a medical.
Wolves tied up another exciting signing earlier today as Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore completed his move to Molineux ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Traore joins Rui Patricio, Jonny, Joao Moutinho and Raul Jimenez at Molineux, and another signing appears to be on the way before the transfer window slams shut.
The Mirror report that Wolves are now nearing a deal for Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko, having agreed a £16million fee – and the player will undergo a medical with the club on Thursday.
Zinchenko, 21, joined City from Ufa in 2016, but went out on loan to PSV Eindhoven, where he struggled to make an impact with just 17 first-team appearances.
Last term, Zinchenko – formerly a playmaker or winger – was converted to play as a left back under Pep Guardiola, and made 14 appearances in all competitions as he won a Premier League winner’s medal.

The Ukrainian looks to have bright future in the game, and may be viewed as the ideal left wing back in Nuno’s 3-4-3 system, allowing Jonny to switch over to the right.
It has been a lengthy pursuit for Zinchenko, but with the transfer deadline just hours away, Wolves finally appear to be landing their man as he gears up for his medical.
