Wolves midfielder Prince Oniangue is finally set to end his nightmare season at the Molineux, as French outlet Corriere De L’Ouest claim the midfield outcast is in France ahead of a move to Angers.
The 29-year-old has failed to make even one appearance for Nuno Espirito Santo’s first team this season, making just two Premier League 2 appearances instead after returning to Wolves in the summer from a six-month loan spell with Bastia.
He failed to earn a permanent move away in the summer and it has seen him remain on the sidelines while Conor Coady, Romain Saiss and Ruben Neves continue to shine in the middle of the park.
36-time Congo international Oniangue arrived in Angers on Wednesday morning in order to strike a deal that will see the former Rennes midfielder move to the Ligue 1 side on loan until the end of the season.
He has already met with Angers representatives, according to the report, and a move seems close to materialising after previously playing for Angers during the 2009-10 season on loan from Rennes.
With little to no future in the Midlands, Oniangue must impress to the level where he is considered for a permanent deal by Angers, or indeed any other interested parties taking note of his displays in the top tier of French football.
