According to L’Equipe, Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to send representatives out to Egypt to discuss signing Angers forward Stephane Bahoken.

Wolves are competing with Leicester City for the striker, who hit 11 goals in Ligue 1 last term.

Bahoken is currently in Egypt as he is representing Cameroon at the African Cup of Nations, and Wolves are eager to convince him to come to Molineux.

Wolves don’t face a clear run for the forward though, as Leicester City are also said to be keen.

Brendan Rodgers wants to add another forward to his ranks, and reportedly feels Bahoken could be a good addition to his squad at Leicester.

Angers are said to be willing to cash in on the striker, amid the Premier League’s duo’s interest.

If Bahoken was to arrive at Wolves or Leicester in summer, it seems likely that he would only be signed as a back-up choice.

The Cameroon international is 27, and would likely be seen as a covering option rather than a regular starter for the two sides, who are both hoping to trouble the top six next term.
