Wolves have been linked with a return for Bournemouth forward Benik Afobe.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have shelved plans to sign a striker this month as Nuno Espirito Santo feels that the squad is strong enough already, according to The Express & Star.
Sky Sports reported this week that Wolves were keeping tabs on the availability of former striker Benik Afobe, who has only made five Premier League starts for Bournemouth this season.

However, The Express & Star understands that the Championship leaders are unlikely to pursue a forward in January as they feel promotion can be secured with what they already have.
Loan star Leo Bonatini has 12 goals for the season, although he is without one in 10 matches, and 20-year-old Spaniard Rafa Mir arrived from Valencia at the beginning of the window.
This could give West Bromwich Albion, who Sky Sports understands is Afobe’s other major suitor, a free run at the 24-year-old if they are prepared to pay Bournemouth’s £10m asking price.

Wolves could yet do some business before the transfer deadline though, with The Express & Star reporting that the loan move of Diogo Jota could be turned into a permanent transfer.
The West Midlands outfit apparently have an exclusive option to buy the attacking midfielder, who has also scored 12 goals this season, from Atletico Madrid at any time during his loan spell.
