Burnley have reportedly blocked Tarkowski’s departure to West Bromwich Albion, with Wolverhampton Wanderers among several Championship sides circling.
Black Country rivals West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers are keen on Burnley defender James Tarkowski, according to the Daily Star.
It is claimed the Baggies, along with Premier League rivals Stoke City, have already had a bid turned down by the Clarets – with Wolves, Fulham and Blackburn Rovers also said to be circling.

Tarkowski only moved to Turf Moor from Brentford in February, but has played just 111 minutes of league football this season.
According to the Daily Star, this has not deterred either West Brom or Stoke, however, while Championship interest is to be expected given Tarkowski’s displays over the previous two campaigns.
The former Oldham Athletic defender was part of a Bees side who finished fifth in their first season back at that level, before moving to Burnley eight months later, where he helped Sean Dyche’s men to the title – and it is claimed the Clarets are adamant that Tarkowski is not going anywhere.

The Mancunian returned to his hometown a year ago to be closer to his seriously ill mother, and it is likely that geography would again be a factor in his decision-making were he to leave Turf Moor.
For that reason, a move to Fulham can almost certainly be ruled out, though Blackburn could still be an option.
A transfer to either West Brom or Wolves would involve a commute of around two hours, with Stoke slightly less than that.
