A report claims Wolverhampton Wanderers have made contact over the former West Ham United loan star, for whom Inter Milan want £25 million.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have held talks with Inter Milan about signing Joao Mario, according to Calciomercato.
However, the Italian website claims discussions ‘haven’t really taken off’ since initial contact was made, adding that Inter are yet to receive any offers for the midfielder, who spent the second half of last season on loan to West Ham United.
The Nerazzurri are said to want €28 million (£25 million) to part with Mario on a permanent basis, and could be open to another loan deal.
However, their hopes of offloading him to Wolves look to be fading, as the newly promoted side reportedly close on a £5 million deal for the 25-year-old’s fellow Portugal midfielder Joao Moutinho.

Mario scored two goals and assisted another in 14 games for West Ham, who were linked with fresh move for the former Sporting player earlier this summer, along with Tottenham Hotspur.
However, the Hammers have themselves strengthened in Mario’s position, bringing in former Arsenal man Jack Wilshere on a free transfer.
Should Wolves continue to target the former West Ham loan star if Moutinho arrives at Molineux?
