Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brighton & Hove Albion are in competition for Blackburn Rovers winger Ben Marshall.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, Wolverhampton Wanderers have had a £2 million bid for Blackburn Rovers winger Ben Marshall turned down.
Marshall has just six months left on his contract at Ewood Park, and does not seem likely to commit his future to Rovers.
Wolves are eager to sign Marshall before the end of the season, to try and minimise the amount of competition they will have to fend off to get a deal over the line.
And Paul Lambert’s side have already seen a £2 million offer turned down by Owen Coyle’s side.
Whether Wolves will return with a repeat offer remains to be seen, but Brighton & Hove Albion are now also interested.
Brighton see Marshall as a player who could enhance their push for promotion to the Premier League.
Brighton are currently in second place in the Championship table, and they are in a battle with Newcastle United to win the title.
Wolves, meanwhile, have shown massive improvements since Lambert took charge, and now have one eye on taking a place in the play offs.
