According to Football.London, William Saliba is now considering his future at Arsenal as the club pursue a deal for Brighton and Hove Albion’s Ben White.
Saliba was snapped up for £27million in the summer of 2019 having shown huge promise at Saint-Etienne, with Arsenal feeling they had snapped up their defender of the future.
However, Saliba is yet to make a single appearance for Arsenal. He spent his first season back on loan at Saint-Etienne, was left out in the first half of last term and then joined Nice on loan.
Arsenal pursue White deal
It’s stated that Arsenal had a £40million bid for Brighton and Hove Albion defender White rejected last week, but are still in talks and preparing a second offer.
The Daily Mail suggest that White wants to join Arsenal this summer, but the Gunners may need to go up to around £50million in order to strike a deal.
White would join Rob Holding, Calum Chambers, Gabriel Magalhaes and Pablo Mari at Arsenal, and potentially leave no room for Saliba.

Saliba considering Arsenal future
It’s now stated that Saliba and his representatives are ‘assessing what is best’ for the Frenchman moving forward, which may well be to leave the Gunners.
The report adds that Arsenal may now sell Saliba having previously been adamant that he wouldn’t go, though yet another loan move remains a possibility.
Newcastle United want Saliba according to the Daily Mail, and the Magpies may have renewed hope of a deal off the back of these reports.
