Will Lankshear has signed a first professional deal with Tottenham Hotspur – just over two years since being let go by Arsenal.
This is another bad weekend for Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs were thrashed 6-1 at Newcastle United this afternoon after being 5-0 down inside 20 minutes.
Finding bright spots this weekend will be difficult for Tottenham fans but Lankshear’s deal is a positive.
Football London report that Lankshear has put pen to paper on a professional deal with Spurs having turned 18.
Lankshear turned 18 on Thursday and has now been handed that first senior deal with Tottenham.
This was likely pre-agreed and ready to go once Lankshear turned 18 but the deal is now done and dusted.
That gives Lankshear the next step in his progress at Tottenham and Spurs will be looking for much more from him in the coming years.

Will Lankshear is an exciting talent for Tottenham
Football London reported back in December that Lankshear has been called up to first-team training at times this season.
Hopes are high for the teenager, who was once on the Arsenal books.
Lankshear was coming up through the Arsenal ranks before they allowed him to leave in January 2021.
Sheffield United snapped up the striker and he started to make a real impact in the Blades youth ranks.
Tottenham subsequently came calling and struck a deal to bring Lankshear back to North London in August of last year.
The Examiner claimed at the time of the move that Tottenham had struck a deal worth around £2.5million.
That report also noted that Lankshear and his family are Tottenham supporters, so a move to Spurs was something of a dream.
Sadly, Lankshear has recently undergone knee surgery and is on his road back to fitness.
Spurs will hope to see Lankshear back fit and firing next season and this pro deal should allow him to kick on moving forward.
