It’s claimed that a lucrative deal to send Bony to the Chinese Super League during the January transfer window, with City ready to cash in on a player who has no future under new boss Pep Guardiola.
Yet, with months to go until the January transfer window, Bony will want to play some football before heading to China – and West Ham are believed to be ready to offer him a loan switch to East London, even though his £128,000-a-week wages are an issue.
Bony, 27, proved himself as a Premier League striker during his time with Swansea City, smashing 26 goals in 54 games following a 2013 move from Dutch outfit Vitesse Arnhem.

However, the Ivorian international has only score six goals in 36 games for City, struggling to make an impact at the Etihad Stadium whilst slipping behind Kelechi Iheanacho in the pecking order.
As a short-term stop-gap for West Ham, Bony could be a smart move – but taking a player on loan with seemingly no scope for a permanent move could be a concern for manager Bilic and co.
