West Bromwich Albion summer signing Conor Townsend could be on the move this month, with their Championship rivals eyeing a bid.

Townsend moved to The Hawthorns in the summer after a superb spell with Scunthorpe United. But he has struggled to break into Darren Moore’s plans due to the very impressive form of Kieran Gibbs.
The 25-year-old has made just four Championship appearances for the Baggies, and he could possibly be on the move this month, with one of their second tier rivals eyeing a potential move.

It will be interesting to see whether West Brom are open to the idea of loaning Townsend out while they are nicely poised in the Championship promotion race.
Although he is not playing, it is not an area of the pitch where Moore boasts a lot of depth. Chris Brunt is capable of playing in that role if required. But if they lost Gibbs for any substantial period for any reason, perhaps they would end up ruing Townsend’s exit if they did loan him out.
