Wigan Athletic, Charlton Athletic and Peterborough United are all said to be keen on the Dundee United midfielder.

English sides Wigan Athletic, Charlton Athletic and Peterborough United are eyeing January moves for Dundee United midfielder Scott Fraser, according to STV.

Fraser has scored three goals and made another nine in 18 outings this season, helping the Terrors to within a point of the Scottish Championship’s summit.

And the left-winger’s fine form is said to have attracted interest from south of the border, leaving Ray McKinnon’s side braced for bids.

Fraser signed a new three-year deal in the summer of 2015, leaving Dundee United under little pressure to sell. However, the lure of England’s Football League could prove too difficult for the 21-year-old to turn down.

Wigan, although struggling at the bottom end of the Championship, were a Premier League side until 2013 and recently hired Manchester United coach Warren Joyce as boss.

As things stand though, Peterborough – the club which shaped the careers of George Boyd, Dwight Gayle and Britt Assombalonga – could replace the Latics in next season’s second tier.
