According to a report from Spanish media outlet ABC Blogs, Tottenham hold an advantage over Liverpool in the race to sign Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, because they are more willing to take him on loan with an option to buy.
The 22-year-old looks set for the exit door this summer, and it was originally reported by Spanish media outlet Marca that the Spurs and Reds target was available for around €50 million (£45 million) this summer.
Both Tottenham and Liverpool are in the market for a creative central midfielder, and Ceballos would be the ideal addition for either side.
Spanish media outlet ABC Blogs made a claim last night, however, that Spurs are now leading the race for the Spain international, due to the fact that they are willing to take the midfield on loan initially.
Liverpool are allegedly not willing to loan Ceballos, and would prefer a permanent deal for the midfielder, whilst Tottenham are more than open to the idea of a loan for the Madrid man, with an option to buy.

Spurs have already signed Tanguy Ndombele, so if they manage to bring Ceballos in too, they really would have a frightening central midfield.
Whether Liverpool will soften their stance, and become willing to take the Spaniard on loan in order to remain in the race with Tottenham remains to be seen, but it would surely be in Jurgen Klopp’s best interest to try his utmost to bring the Spaniard to Anfield this summer.
