Chelsea considering a part-exchange deal with Sevilla using Michy Batshuayi to sign Vitolo, which could be bad news for Newcastle and West Ham.

Chelsea’s interest in Sevilla star Vitolo, as reported by Marca, could also affect Newcastle United and West Ham United’s own transfer plans this summer.

The report from the Spanish publication says the Blues are considering meeting the £35.5m release clause to bring the winger to Stamford Bridge.

However, the Express outlines that the Andalusian club are interested in both Michy Batshuayi and Kurt Zouma and would be open to a part-exchange deal involving one of the two.

Both Batshuayi and Zouma are on the periphery of Antonio Conte’s team and the Italian could well be convinced to allow one to leave to land Vitolo, but if it is the former then that could spell bad news for both Newcastle and West Ham.

That is because the Mirror report that the Magpies are keen on the Belgium international, while the Evening Standard claims the Hammers are also looking to sign the 23-year-old.

Yet if Sevilla decide it is Batshuayi that they would rather have at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium if they are to lose Vitolo (the seemingly obvious choice with both players operating in attack, while Zouma is a defender) then surely the West Londoners would be more tempted by a deal that benefits their own squad?
