According to Eurosport, Liverpool are looking at West Ham United star Declan Rice as a potential replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum.
Wijnaldum is out of contract at Liverpool at the end of the season and has yet to agree on a new deal.
The defending Premier League champions have identified Rice, who can operate as a defender or as a midfielder, as a potential replacement, according to the report.
90min had earlier claimed that Liverpool are interested in Rice, and it now seems that the Reds are looking at the 22-year-old to replace Netherlands international Wijnaldum.
Not easy transfer
West Ham are doing well at the moment, and Rice is an important player in manager David Moyes’s team.
The Hammers are a big and established club in the Premier League, and the are unlikely to be easy to deal with.
West Ham are an ambitious club, and the London outfit may not be willing to sell Rice even if they are made a good offer. It could eventually come down to what the England international wants to do regarding his future.
