Newcastle United still have recruitment plans in place even if their takeover is not approved before the start of next season, according to the Chronicle.

Newcastle have been waiting for the Premier League to green light their takeover for months now, but still no final decision has been made.

Newcastle supporters have tried to put pressure on the league, while even Steve Bruce has suggested that the waiting has gone on too long recently.

However, the Premier League are still debating whether to give Newcastle the approval that they have been waiting for.

It leaves the Magpies in a difficult situation, with so much uncertainty surrounding the future of the club.

Newcastle would apparently still do business if the takeover does not go through and Mike Ashley remains in charge though.

While the Tynesiders would be unlikely to spend lavish amounts, plans are being put in place for the summer transfer window currently, according to the latest report.

And Newcastle reportedly may well still make a few additions to help Bruce’s squad, even if Ashley is at the helm.
