Tottenham Hotspur’s players have privately spoken about how Jose Mourinho’s criticism of them has destroyed their confidence, according to the Independent.
Mourinho has been no stranger to chastising Tottenham’s players throughout the season.
He accused some of hiding after their defeat to Arsenal recently, and has publicly called out others.
Both Gareth Bale and Dele Alli have been criticised in Mourinho’s media interviews this season.
And it seems that some Spurs players need a more gentle approach.
The Independent say that some of Tottenham’s squads confidence is now very low, after the negative comments from Mourinho.

In truth the Portuguese boss is unlikely to change, though, and that can hardly be given as an excuse for last night’s display.
Spurs were beaten 3-0 by Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League, and their display on the evening was abject.
The calls for Mourinho to be sacked are only growing louder now from Spurs fans, with performances and results becoming a huge concern.
The Daily Mail now say that Mourinho will be sacked by Tottenham if he fails to deliver a top four spot.
