Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane joked with Bournemouth’s Adam Smith that he was ‘still ugly’ after his collison with Ben Davies yesterday, according to The Sun.
Smith appeared to be knocked unconscious by the Tottenham defender, after an aerial challenge.
There was great concern about his well being initially, but once Smith was deemed to be okay, Kane was keen to make light of the situation.
The Tottenham striker played with Smith at youth level, and apparently said ‘don’t worry Smithy, you’re still ugly,’ as he left the field.
Eddie Howe said after the match that Smith was talking in the dressing room and was expected to be fine in time.
On the pitch, Tottenham and Bournemouth served up a poor contest in terms of entertainment.
Neither side created much in the final third, as the match finished as a 0-0 draw.
