Football London have given a detailed report on what happened in Tottenham training this week – as new signing Dejan Kulusevski took to the field. The report shares how he “wrong-footed” Harry Kane at one point.
Kulusevski, 21, joined Spurs in a deal that sees Fabio Paratici sign the Sweden international for a second time in the space of 18 months. Back in the summer of 2020, Paratici signed Kulusevski for Juventus.
It is believed that the Swede has penned an 18-month loan deal – with The Athletic reporting an £8.5million loan fee has been paid to Juventus. It is believed a fee in the region of £30million is required to make it permanent.
Football London shared what they were shown from this week’s training, claiming that Kulusevski “wrong-footed” Kane in training – while also giving details of his performance and what he was playing like behind the scenes.
“The Swedish attacker wrong-footed Harry Kane with a quick turn and backheel and, from what we were shown, he was using the ball well under pressure whenever it came his way,” Alasdair Gold reported.
Kulusevski wrong-foots Kane: Tottenham star to make debut?
Tottenham play host to Brighton in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday, with the competition the club’s only remaining chance of silverware. They were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Chelsea.
That is, despite an impressive run to the semi-finals. A forfeited 3-0 defeat to Rennes has seen Spurs fail to get out of the Europa Conference League group stages. It makes the clash against Brighton absolutely crucial.
With that in mind, will Antonio Conte give Kulusevski his debut on Saturday afternoon? The chances are, that the Swede will make his debut – but from the bench.
