It has been reported that Ndombele has won the respect of his Tottenham teammates by showing his ability in training.
Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho has criticised the France international midfielder in public, but only because he cares about him, according to the report.
The Guardian has also quoted Spurs midfielder Moussa Sissoko raving about his French compatriot.
Sissoko told The Guardian about Ndombele: “We all believe in Tanguy’s quality. He has come to another country, another culture, another style of football, another league, he doesn’t speak the language – so there are a lot of things. I am sure he will be a success at the club.”
Stats
Much was expected of Ndombele when he moved to Tottenham in the summer of 2019, but the 23-year-old has had injury and fitness issues and has not been a huge success.
According to WhoScored, the 23-year-old has made 12 starts and eight substitute appearances in the Premier League for Spurs so far this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists in the process.
The Frenchman also provided two assists in six Champions League games for Tottenham this campaign, according to WhoScored.
Keeping faith
Ndombele is very talented and has a lot of quality, and Tottenham should keep faith in him, as he is only 23 years of age and will develop and progress.
