Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has been vocal in his criticism of shutting the transfer window early.

The Mail claim that at a recent meeting between Premier League managers Tottenham boss Pochettino was vocal in voicing his displeasure at the early closure of the transfer window.
Pochettino was backed up by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola and Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp.
There is now said to be a belief that if the high profile trio keep pushing for the rule to be changed then the Premier League will opt to move the deadline back to the end of the month again.

The Premier League window now closes earlier than the rest of Europe, and it has certainly disadvantaged Tottenham this summer.
Spurs could risk losing Christian Eriksen for a cheaper fee than first considered, as they are now in a weak position in the negotiations.
Spurs know that they cannot sell Eriksen to English clubs or buy a replacement, and with his contract ticking down, European sides could now look to sign him for a cut price.
