Loan moves don’t always turn out to be a success. However, in sending Oliver Skipp to Norwich, Tottenham made a very smart move.
The 20-year-old started 44 of Norwich’s 46 Championship games as Daniel Farke’s Canaries won the title, with Skipp playing a massive role.
For a 20-year-old to walk into a side who had just been relegated from the Premier League and perform like he did was very impressive.
Now, it sounds like Tottenham have a new man on their hands.
What’s different about Oliver Skipp?
Well, according to Football London‘s Alasdair Gold, those inside Spurs have noticed a big change in the England Under-21 international.
Gold writes that people at Tottenham feel Skipp is now louder and more confident than he was before.

It is also said that the midfielder seems more assured of his standing among teammates, and what he can offer to the group.
A headache for Nuno, but a nice problem to have
Following Skipp’s successful time at Carrow Road, where does he fit in under Nuno Espirito Santo?
The Portuguese coach has Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso to choose from in midfield, arguably a world-class trio.
Nuno also has Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko.

In our view, Skipp should start every week next to Højbjerg, with either Ndombele or Lo Celso ahead of the formidable duo.
However, it remains to be seen if Nuno feels the same way.
It’s certainly a selection headache for the ex-Wolves boss, but it’s nice to have options.
