Tottenham Hotspur are one of the sides reportedly interested in signing Leicester City sensation James Maddison.

According to a report from The Sun, James Maddison has told Leicester that he wants to stay this summer, and the attacking midfielder could even sign a new deal amid interest from the likes of Tottenham and Manchester United.
Maddison’s future looks set to be a key talking point throughout the window after he enjoyed an outstanding first year in the Premier League, scoring seven goals and contributing seven assists for the Foxes.
The Sun reports that Spurs, Liverpool and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men are keen to add the 22-year-old to their ranks this summer. But it appears that Maddison is about to disappoint both clubs.
The Sun suggests that Maddison has told Leicester that he is happy where he is, and could reportedly choose to extend his contract further despite having four years left on his current deal.

It is arguably a blow for the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool that they are reportedly set to miss out on the former Norwich city ace. Based on his performances during his first year at the highest level, he is certainly the kind of player that could step up and make an impact for those at the very top of the table in the very near future.
But it appears that Mauricio Pochettino and Jurgen Klopp will have to look elsewhere if they want to make a signing in that area of the pitch with Maddison seemingly happy to stay exactly where he is.
