Matty Longstaff has been impressed by Udinese’s career plan for him as he edges closer to an exit from Newcastle United, the Chronicle report.
The North East paper suggests that they have been told by sources close to the midfielder that a move to Italy does appeal to Newcastle’s home grown talent.
The Magpies now face the prospect of losing one of their top talents for way below his market value.
Newcastle will only receive a fee of £400,000 for Longstaff if he does choose to leave, which would be a real blow.

Udinese have offered Longstaff a considerably higher salary than Newcastle are willing to push to, even though the youngster has been a real success story this term.
Longstaff has broken through into Newcastle’s first-team and never looked overawed in the Premier League.
Whether Longstaff has now played his final game for Newcastle remains to be seen.
The Magpies are due to return to action later this month, but with Longstaff’s future so uncertain Bruce may not consider him to start.
