According to Eurosport, Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho was ‘never fussed’ about signing Gareth Bale from Real Madrid, but chairman Daniel Levy is open to keeping the winger beyond this season.
Bale returned to Tottenham on loan from Spanish and European giants Madrid in the summer of 2020.
The report has claimed that Spurs head coach Mourinho was not too bothered about bringing the Wales international winger to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The report has claimed that although Tottenham chairman Levy is still open to keeping Bale at the club beyond the end of the season, sources have said that he is ‘prepared to be more clear minded about potentially re-signing’ the 31-year-old.
Gareth Bale at Tottenham Hotspur next season?
Bale is struggling to play much football at Tottenham this season, and it is hard to see the winger stay at the Premier League club beyond the summer of 2021.

After all, the winger may not be willing to just warm the substitutes’ bench for another season at a club on loan.
According to WhoScored, the winger has made two starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League and has played six times in the Europa League for Spurs so far this season.
