It has been reported that Leeds will make a second bid of £14 million for Kent, with the Whites’ initial offer of £10 million for the former Liverpool winger having been turned down by Rangers.
It has been further added that the promoted Premier League outfit are willing to double the current salary of the 23-year-old.
However, according to the report, Rangers will once again tell Leeds that Kent is not for sale.
Good stance?
Kent is one of the best wingers in the Scottish Premiership and is a key figure in Steven Gerrard’s Rangers side.
With the Gers aiming to stop bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic from winning the Scottish Premiership title for the 10th season in a row, the Gers cannot afford to sell the 23-year-old this summer.
If Rangers win the league title, then the Gers will get better offers for Kent next summer, and they could then cash in on him.
The Gers are at the top of the league table at the moment with 13 points from five matches.
