Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford was very impressed by Allan last night, that is according to a report in the Athletic.
Pickford was overheard shouting ‘Good, Allan!’ during the game against Southampton and also was seen applauding him at another stage.
The Everton goalkeeper’s admiration for Allan’s display is not a surprise either, as he was in fine form last night.
Allan broke up multiple Southampton attacks, with Everton’s midfield destroyer playing his role to perfection.
The 30-year-old is only just returning from injury, but his display shows just how much quality he has brought to Everton since his summer move.
Unfortunately for the Toffees Allan may not be available on Thursday evening.
Everton can move into the top four with a win over West Bromwich Albion, but Carlo Ancelotti has already told the BBC that it could be ‘difficult’ for him to start two games in such a short space of time, after just returning from injury.
