Newcastle United’s players have been told that they will be tested this Friday, ahead of a potential return to training in the very near future, according to the Daily Mail.
Newcastle are now gearing up to restart their Premier League campaign, with England’s top flight making progress towards coming to an agreement to start up the action once again.
Newcastle, like every other football team in the Premier League, have not played since March.
But Steve Bruce is now planning to have his players back to training in the near future, as they gear up to get their campaign underway again.
Newcastle’s players have reportedly been informed that they will be handed tests in two days’ time, making them one of the first teams in the league to trial the new system.

If Newcastle do return to action it seems that they are in a position where they have little to play for.
Newcastle look well clear of trouble, but they will be hard pressed to climb much further up the table.
At the moment Bruce’s side sit in 13th place in the standings, after what has been a fairly productive campaign.
