As a result he was screaming ‘press’ at his players, every time Albion thought they had safe possession.
Tottenham did indeed seem to unsettle the Baggies, as they created multiple opportunities throughout the contest.
Spurs’s performance was an encouraging one, but the ultimate test will be whether they can employ such a front-foot approach against higher quality opposition, or they will revert to the defensive style which has drawn a lot of criticism recently.
