Mauricio Pochettino will ask Harry Kane to stay at Tottenham Hotspur, according to The Sun.

The report published in the British tabloid at 10:30pm has claimed that Tottenham plan to hold official talks with Paris Saint-Germain over their manager Pochettino on Monday.

Pochettino wants to move back to Spurs, and if he does, then he will ask Kane to stay at the North London club for one more season, according to the report.

The report has added that the Argentine’s prospective return to Spurs is not dependent on the striker staying.

Not enough for Harry Kane

The England international has reportedly told Tottenham that he wants to leave to win trophies.

Spurs are unlikely to win the Premier League title next season.

If Manchester City come calling – Sky Sports claim that the newly-crowned Premier League champions are interested in him – then it is hard to see Kane turn it down.

Pochettino is still very popular among Tottenham fans.

The Argentine would be welcomed by the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful.

If Kane is sold this summer, then Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will have to give Pochettino that money to invest in new players.

The problem is that it is going to be extremely hard for Spurs to find a world-class striker such as Kane.
