Liverpool staff claim that Kostas Tsimikas is making progress in training with Jurgen Klopp’s side, despite his continued omissions from the first-team, the Athletic report.
Tsimikas joined Liverpool in the summer, but has found starting chances very hard to come by.
The Greek has struggled with injury, but even when he has been fit he has rarely been trusted to play by Jurgen Klopp.
That said, Liverpool are said to be working him hard in training to develop his positional awareness.
And the Athletic’s sources inside the club claim that Liverpool staff are seeing progress from the summer signing in training.
Whether that will lead to Tsimikas being handed more first-team chances between now and the end of the season remains to be seen.

Liverpool are set to take on Real Madrid on Wednesday evening, and Klopp will surely want his most trusted players selected for that game.
But Andy Robertson has featured regularly this season, and if he is tired after his midweek exertions, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that Tsimikas could be considered in their next Premier League match, when Liverpool take on Leeds United.
