Liverpool insiders have played down suggestions that Ozan Kabak could arrive at Anfield any time soon, the Liverpool Echo suggest.
Liverpool have been heavily linked with the Schalke central defender since Virgil van Dijk was ruled out for the season.
There have been suggestions that the Reds could now make a move for Kabak in the January transfer window.
But club insiders say that the Reds actually have no plans to sign the £30 million-rated defender (Daily Mirror).
Instead, they feel that the links are the work of his agent, who is trying to get the central back a move away from his current side.

That could be a disappointing update for Liverpool fans to hear, as there is widespread belief that Jurgen Klopp’s men do need to add another central defender to their ranks.
Liverpool only really have Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Fabinho as their senior options to cover in the heart of their defence currently, and if they were to suffer another injury in that position it could spell disaster.
