Report: What Liverpool have told clubs about £25m man has put them off signing him

Liverpool would be tempted to sell Rhian Brewster for £25 million, but a loan move is now more likely, the Telegraph reports.

There has been some shock around Anfield lately, after suggestions that Liverpool could offload their prized prospect on a permanent basis.

While the Telegraph do suggest that is still a possibility, they also indicate that he is far more likely to leave on loan.

Brewster has had a number of clubs come in for him this summer, but Liverpool’s stance has actually put plenty of clubs off.

Liverpool don’t want to allow Brewster to leave until October, and that has led to sides seeking out alternative targets.

Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Aston Villa all walked away from potential deals after being told that Liverpool wanted to take their time before making their mind up over Brewster’s future.

It now leaves the young striker faced with the possibility of going back to Swansea City on loan next term.

Swansea are keen to have Brewster back after he scored prolifically for them after joining in January last season.

Liverpool feel that a move to Swansea could actually increase his value, even though he would not be playing Premier League football.

If Brewster did have another productive campaign in Wales it would only increase the pressure on Jurgen Klopp to give him a chance in the Reds’ first-team.

There are massively high hopes for Brewster from supporters at Anfield, but Klopp seemingly isn’t totally convinced that he is ready for a first-team role on Merseyside just yet.
