According to Eurosport, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has made it clear to club officials that he needs first-team football amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
It has been reported that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy understands Alli’s desire to play regularly, but he thinks that the midfielder can still be an important player in the club’s future.
PSG, now managed by former Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino, want to sign the 24-year-old on an 18-month loan with an option to buy in the summer of 2021, but the North London club are only willing to send him out for the rest of the season, according to the report, which has added that the future of the Englishman may not be decided until the final week of the January transfer window.
Loan deal best option
According to WhoScored, Alli has made one start and three substitute appearances in the Premier League and has made two starts and two substitute appearances in the Europa League for Spurs so far this season.
A move to PSG on loan for the rest of the season would be best for both Alli and Spurs.
The 24-year-old would get the chance to play regularly, and in the summer of 2021, Tottenham, PSG and the midfielder could sort out his long-term future.
