According to The Telegraph, senior sources at Newcastle United have denied that they are open to selling Allan Saint-Maximin amid rumours of an inquiry from Nottingham Forest.
The French winger, who joined the Magpies in the summer of 2019, is a true fan’s favourite at St. James’ Park with his electric pace and skill on the ball making him one of the Premier League’s most eye-catching players.
It’s no surprise that Forest have asked about Saint-Maximin though. He’s found starts hard to come by as of late, and it looked as though his importance at St James’ Park was declining.
However, those within Newcastle have reportedly denied that the club is open to selling the winger.

This news will likely come as a relief to Newcastle fans, who have really taken to Saint-Maximin over the years. His character and ability make him a cult hero on Tyneside, and they’ll be glad to hear he’s staying on.
Newcastle may be in the process of buying top talents, but Saint-Maximin, along with other established talents like Miguel Almiron and Joelinton have shown that it’s not a case of completely restructuring the squad at Newcastle.
It’s clear that Newcastle United see Saint-Maximin as a part of their future and are not willing to part ways with him. While the rumours of interest from Nottingham Forest may not come to anything, it remains for the Magpies to continue to keep hold of its most established players as they continue to cultivate a positive dressing room atmosphere.
Saint-Maximin’s pace, skill, and energy make him one of the most exciting players in the premier league, he has the ability to turn a game in the blink of an eye, and the Toon Army will be hoping he can continue to showcase that talent at St James’ Park.
Saint-Maximin is going nowhere, and that’s great news for a fanbase that has quickly grown to love the trickster.
