Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is set to tell Alfredo Morelos that he will spend more time on the sidelines unless he knuckles down in training, the Daily Record report.
Gerrard left Morelos out of Rangers’ squad at the weekend for their game against Kilmarnock as punishment for training poorly over the week.
The Rangers boss is now planning private talks with the Colombian, to update him on where he stands.
Morelos is seemingly pushing for a move away, but Gerrard will apparently insist to him that Rangers will only let him go if their asking price is met.
Rangers want a big fee for their leading goalscorer from last season, amid interest from Lille.

Rangers actually didn’t need Morelos at the weekend, as they won 2-0 against Kilmarnock, with new striker Kemar Roofe among the scorers.
Morelos’s departure could still be seen as a blow in the long-term though, as he has proven to be such a prolific scorer at Ibrox in recent times.
Morelos has scored 79 goals in 142 appearances for Rangers throughout his time in Scotland so far, and replacing that level of goals could be tricky for Gerrard’s men.
